psx4droid v2 is a Sony Playstation 1 emulator for high-end Androids (600MHz+ recommended).
psx4droid v2 is a complete overhaul of the internal workings of the original emulator, requiring a new product due to compatibility.
Upgrade to v2 for a much reduced price as I work out any issues that come up. Much more to come!
Recent changes:
- New dynarec / emulation engine.
- Save states from the previous product no longer work. Separate product was needed due to this.
- Use memory card saves to share between the original psx4droid and v2.
- Compatibility changes. Favorite games such as Metal Gear Solid and Dodonpachi now work!

1.0.9 changelog
- Fixed landscape <-> portrait orientation change bug.
- Added a "cycle multiplier" option to increase the internal PSX cycle count to improve performance in many games. This variable is now stored in your save states. Too high of a cycle setting can break games, too low a setting can slow games down. Test games on the default or lower.
- Worked on sound quality. Hopefully it sounds better on more phones as I test more out.
- Experimental fix for Nexus S / Gingerbread users.

psx4droid v2 should run much better, and should be more compatible.
Save states from v1 NO LONGER WORK in v2 and vice versa.
If you want to continue playing your game from v1 in v2:
BE SURE to load from save-state in v1 BEFORE UPDATING TO v2 and save "in-game" to memory card. The memory card file psx4droid v1 uses is in the same location as v2 so ---memory card saves will instantly carry over. From there you can update v1 to v2, load from -memory card in-game and create a v2 save state.
There is also a chance a game you played in v1 no longer works in v2. A list of games that may not to work in v2 1.0.8:

Recent changes:
- Fixed crashes and freezes in Diablo.
- Fixed quick save and other user interface bugs causing instability.
- Improved sound quality. (Tested on Droid X and Samsung Galaxy S & Tab).
- Hopefully by changing the sound rendering thread routines around once again, performance for phones such as the Droid 2 and Evo goes way up.

- Many critical bugs fixed.
